Aspirus Health in WAUSAU, WI is seeking a STRATEGIC SOURCING SPECIALIST to join our SUPPLY CHAIN team!

The Strategic Sourcing Specialist supports the Aspirus enterprise supply chain by assisting with category management, costoptimization initiatives, supplier performance monitoring, and valuebased decisionmaking. The role drives and contributes to sourcing events, contract execution, analytics, and stakeholder coordination independently or under the guidance of senior team members.

In this role, the Specialist helps gather data, perform market research, prepare sourcing documents, evaluate supplier quotes, and support the implementation of contracts and product decisions. The position collaborates closely with clinical, operational, and supply chain partners to ensure alignment with organizational goals. The role also contributes to supplier performance monitoring, compliance, and ongoing costsavings validation. The Specialist functions as a key team contributor, growing expertise in sourcing methodologies, analytics, and healthcare supply chain strategy.

HOURS: Full Time, 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every two weeks

Experience/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field required.
  • Professional certification (CPSM, CMRP, CSCP, Lean/Six Sigma) preferred but not required.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 10-20%
  • 1-3 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain or clinical care setting.
  • Exposure to sourcing processes or contract management activities.
  • Experience supporting crossfunctional projects or initiatives.
  • Familiarity with basic negotiation concepts and contract components.
  • Ability to interpret spend data and identify potential opportunities.
  • Experience assisting with supplier performance tracking or issue resolution.
  • Basic experience participating in eRFx or bidding processes.
  • Annual competencies as required by Aspirus and/or various regulatory agencies based on entity and/or job position.
