Aspirus Cardiology Clinic in Wausau, WI is seeking a GENERAL CARDIOLOGY TRIAGE RN to join our team!

The General Cardiology Triage RN provides telephone and electronic triage for patients with cardiovascular conditions, assessing symptoms, determining urgency of care needs, and facilitating appropriate intervention. Responsibilities include reviewing patient concerns, managing medication-related questions, coordinating diagnostic testing and follow-up appointments, providing patient education, and communicating with providers to support timely and effective care. Serves as a key resource for patients while promoting patient safety, symptom management, and continuity of care.

HOURS: Full Time or .9 FTE, 72 hours every pay period, 9-hour shifts Monday - Friday with a varying day off each week.

Experience/Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Certification in specialty desired.
• Minimum of one year practicing as a RN preferred.
• Possesses an active Wisconsin RN nursing license.
• Possesses an active Michigan RN nursing license with 3 months of hire date.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire date.
• Certified Heart Failure Nurse (CHFN) certification with 2 years of hire date.
• Maintains specialty certification as per department scope of service.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, manikin, and knowledge testing. An acceptable BLS training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED.
