PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT - Outpatient

Full-Time or .8 FTE, 64 hours every pay period
8-hour day shifts Monday - Friday

The Physical Therapy Assistant carries outpatient treatment procedures for pediatrics, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients under the guidance and general supervision of a licensed physical therapist (PT).

Experience/Qualifications

• Knowledge of physical therapy standards and practices normally acquired through completion of an associate degree from a Physical Therapist Assistant program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) required.
• Postgraduate education in patient treatment techniques and experience in general physical therapy treatment is beneficial.
• Previous applicable experience beneficial.
• Possesses current Wisconsin and/or Michigan licensure to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant required.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, online manikin, and knowledge testing. An acceptable training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED.
