PHARMACIST IN-CHARGE (INPATIENT PHARMACY)

Part-Time (0.6 FTE, 48 hours every pay period)

Schedule: Primarily Monday, Wednesday, Friday day shift - 8hr shifts

Job Description:

The Pharmacist in Charge is responsible for the professional operations of pharmacy and is designated as the Pharmacist in Charge/Managing Pharmacist with the State Board of Pharmacy. They have oversight of all activities related to the practice of pharmacy including the purchasing, storage, compounding, repackaging, dispensing, and distribution of drugs and devices to ensure that those activities are performed in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The PIC is responsible for enforcement and oversight of medication related policies and procedures. The PIC will act as a preceptor for Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience (IPPE) and Advanced Practice Pharmacy Experience (APPE) students as needed. They will also perform the Pharmacy Technician duties at this site.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Knowledge of pharmaceutical standards and practices normally acquired through graduation from an accredited school of pharmacy.
• PharmD or other advanced degree beneficial.
• Active state Pharmacist licensure required in state of functional area of accountability.

Aspirus Chippewa Falls Hospital and Clinic is scheduled to open in September of 2026. The newest location in the Aspirus Health system will feature a hospital with 10 inpatient beds, emergency department with helipad to support emergency transport needs, on-site clinic with 12 treatment rooms, imaging services (X-ray and CT), laboratory services, and a pharmacy.
