Aspirus Langlade Hospital, Antigo, WI
Full-Time or .9 FTE, 72 hours every pay period
12-hour varied shifts (5A-5P; 5P-5A; 10A-10P; 3P-3A), every other weekend, holiday rotation

The Emergency Services Technician - Paramedic (EMT-Paramedic) will perform certain functions in the Emergency Department within their scope of practice and hospital policy for patients of all age groups (infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric). The Paramedic will document all procedures, observations and/or medical administration performed in the Emergency Department in the patient record. In addition, the EMT - Paramedic will maintain communication with other providers and assist the patient care team in providing service to the customer.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Knowledge of emergent patient care standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a high school diploma.
• Completion of an accredited Paramedic Science Program preferred.
• Skilled in medical terminology.
• Previous applicable experience beneficial.
• Must be licensed as an EMT-Paramedic in the State of Wisconsin.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ACLS, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) maintenance required.
• National Registry preferred.
• Competency in select psychomotor skills as evidenced by completion of orientation and annual competency requirements.
• Knowledge of Emergency Services patient populations (pediatric, adult, geriatric, trauma, medical, surgical condition, etc.), evidenced by completion of orientation and annual competency requirements.
• Develop and maintain effective work relationships with patient care members.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use sound judgment in all patient care matters and maintain such in stressful and/or emergency situations.
