Part Time, .6 FTE, 48 hours every pay period
Day shifts on weekdays (6:45am-3:15pm)

Job Description:

The Mammographer Technologist - Breast Sonographer provides health care services, using x-rays, to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs medical imaging techniques and related procedures to demonstrate breast anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention by, or at the request of, a licensed physician. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Applies appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Radiology, or sufficient on-the-job training to meet ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification requirements.
• Meets FDA Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) mandated requirements.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience in diagnostic imaging is beneficial to enhance and develop skills preferred but not required.
• ARRT (R) required.
• ARRT (M) required.
• State of Wisconsin Licensed Radiographer license (WI Locations only)
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
• Interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients who may be under physical and/or emotional stress.
• Meets and maintains the FDA Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) requirements.
• Analytical skills are necessary to acquire and effectively utilize knowledge of mammography techniques and methods to obtain quality images.
• Site specific competencies in protocols, equipment, computer systems and applications.
